I was particularly struck by the comment in relation to the teachings of St Paul, "Permissible but not beneficial" I have not heard this take before and can only assume it is not commonly understood. What I do find fascinating about the statement is the notion of freewill and how ultimately faith provides guidance. This leads me to understand and take from the conversation that in terms of finding courage, motivation and what is the right/ best path it is about choice and guidance in faith.
